Gambles Wins Debut Ironman in Wisconsin!

Australian athlete and ASCEND believer Joe Gambles has won the 2010 Ford Ironman Wisconsin over the weekend! The race, ranked second hardest on the ironman circuit, was Gambles’ first attempt at the ironman distance, after experience gained competing on the 70.3 circuit.
Gambles belted out a strong run leg to win by a whopping 11 minutes and to break the course record in a time of 8:38:32.

Second place was taken out by Frenchmen Romain Guillaume and American Eric Bean came in third. The win demonstrates how much Gambles has regained form following an achilles injury earlier in the year, which saw him take a forced four week break from running. There’s no doubt he’s got his eyes set firmly on the prize of racing Kona next year.

Joe Gambles has been using ASCEND products for over 3 years, with ASCEND Elite Recovery Chocolate being a regular part of his training regime.
